Researchers, including Chenyu Tang, Shuo Gao, Cong Li, Wentian Yi, Yuxuan Jin, Xiaoxue Zhai, Sixuan Lei, Hongbei Meng, Zibo Zhang, Muzi Xu, Shengbo Wang, Xuhang Chen, Chenxi Wang, and Hongyu, have developed an AI-powered wearable device that restores natural speech for stroke patients suffering from dysarthria, a motor-speech disorder. The device, referred to as a 'wearable intelligent throat,' enables individuals with speech impairments caused by strokes to communicate fluently. This technological breakthrough offers a significant improvement in the quality of life for patients who previously struggled with impaired speech.
