Netflix has released the first teaser trailer for 'Happy Gilmore 2,' the sequel to the 1996 sports comedy, set to premiere on the streaming platform in 2025. Adam Sandler reprises his role as the titular character, an unsuccessful ice hockey player turned golf enthusiast. The teaser features Sandler alongside returning cast members Julie Bowen as Virginia Venit, Christopher McDonald as rival golfer Shooter McGavin, and Ben Stiller as Hal, the nursing home worker. New additions to the cast include Bad Bunny, Margaret Qualley, Nick Swardson, Kid Cudi, Benny Safdie, and NFL star Travis Kelce, who appears in the teaser as a waiter at a country club. The film is directed by Kyle Newacheck and co-written by Sandler and Tim Herlihy, with Dennis Dugan, the director of the original film, serving as an executive producer.
