VisitAaron Rodgers Leads Jets to First Home Win Over Patriots Since 2015 with 24-3 Victory
Sep 20, 2024, 12:40 AM
Aaron Rodgers led the New York Jets to a 24-3 victory over the New England Patriots in their home opener at MetLife Stadium. Rodgers completed 27 of 35 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns, including a 10-yard pass to Allen Lazard and a 2-yard pass to Garrett Wilson. This marked Rodgers' first home game since his Achilles injury last year. The Jets' defense was dominant, recording six sacks and limiting the Patriots to just 3 points. Braelon Allen also made history by becoming the youngest NFL player to score both a rushing and receiving touchdown in a single game, contributing significantly to the Jets' win. The victory improves the Jets' record to 2-1 for the season and is their first home win against the Patriots since 2015. Additionally, Garrett Wilson became the first first-round WR to catch a touchdown pass from Rodgers.
