Visit5 Dead, 24 Injured in Sarojini Nagar 3-Storey Building Collapse; Rescue Operations Ongoing

A three-storey building collapsed in the Transport Nagar area of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on September 7, 2024. The incident has resulted in the deaths of five people and injuries to 24 others. Rescue operations are ongoing, with teams from the NDRF, SDRF, fire brigade, and local police on the scene. Drones are being used to expedite the evacuation process. So far, 28 people have been rescued. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the situation and directed senior officials to coordinate the rescue efforts. Defence Minister and MP from Lucknow, Rajnath Singh, also expressed his sorrow over the incident and spoke to the district magistrate for updates. The collapse occurred in the Sarojini Nagar area.
