The quake was felt widely across the Los Angeles area, including Santa Monica and Century City. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake was centered 2.49 miles northwest of Malibu. The National Weather Service confirmed that no tsunami is expected as a result of the quake. Initial reports indicate no immediate injuries or significant damage.
