San Francisco 49ers rookie wide receiver and first-round pick Ricky Pearsall was shot in the chest during an attempted robbery in Union Square, San Francisco. The incident occurred as Pearsall was on his way to an autograph signing event. The robbery was reportedly over a Rolex watch. During a struggle for the gun, both Pearsall and the suspect were shot. Pearsall is currently in stable condition at San Francisco General Hospital. The suspect has been arrested and is also in stable condition.
