Visit30-Year Treasury Yield Surpasses Fed Funds Rate, Hits 4.68%, Highest Since May 31

The 30-year Treasury yield has surpassed the Federal Funds rate for the first time since Q4 2022, rising approximately 60 basis points over the last two months. This increase comes as the Federal Reserve has cut rates twice, from 5.50% to 4.75%. The 30-year Treasury yield has climbed to 4.68%, its highest level since May 31. The selloff in Treasuries has deepened, sending long-term bond yields to their highest in almost six months. Meanwhile, Morgan Stanley predicts the 10-year Treasury yield will fall to 3.75% by mid-2025. The 10-year Treasury yield reached 4.50%, its highest since May 31, and the 2-year and 5-year yields are also at their highest since July. The 10-year yield is looking for its highest settle since May at 4.49%.
