2028 LA Olympics to Host Swimming at SoFi Stadium, Saving $156 Million

The 2028 Los Angeles Olympics organizers, LA28, have announced a revamped venue plan, which includes moving the Olympic swimming events to SoFi Stadium. This decision replaces the previous plan to build a swim stadium over USC's Dedeaux Field. The updated venue plan is expected to create $156 million in combined savings and revenue boost. SoFi Stadium, originally designed to host major events, will now host the world’s best swimmers, including USASwimming, marking a significant moment for the venue and the Olympics. The stadium, also known as Rams House, will welcome athletes from around the world.
