A 17-year-old suspect, Ricky Thompson III, has been arrested in connection to the deadly mass shooting at a Juneteenth celebration in Round Rock, Texas. The incident, which occurred on June 15 at Old Settlers Park, resulted in the deaths of two women and injuries to 14 others. The Round Rock Police Department, with assistance from the Pflugerville Police, apprehended Thompson, who is now facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Authorities have indicated that more charges and arrests may follow as the investigation continues. Thompson, a student at Manor ISD, is being held in the Williamson County Jail. The shooting began after an altercation between two groups of individuals. Local organizations are providing mental health resources to help victims and their families cope with the trauma.
