16-Year-Old Identified in Fatal Shooting of 7-Year-Old on Near West Side

A 16-year-old boy has been identified as the gunman responsible for the fatal shooting of 7-year-old Jai'Mani Amir Rivera on the Near West Side. Cook County prosecutors stated that surveillance video and eyewitnesses were crucial in identifying the suspect, who fired a semiautomatic rifle towards a housing complex. The boy made his first court appearance on Saturday.
