14 Palestinian Factions, Including Hamas and Fatah, Sign Beijing Declaration to End Divisions

Representatives from 14 Palestinian factions, including Hamas and Fatah, have signed the Beijing Declaration in China on Tuesday morning, pledging to end their divisions and strengthen Palestinian unity. The agreement, brokered by China, follows three days of reconciliation talks held in Beijing from July 21 to 23. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi attended the signing ceremony. The declaration aims to form an interim national reconciliation government, focusing on the governance of post-war Gaza and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital. This marks a significant step towards comprehensive national unity under the umbrella of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
