Sep 29, 2024, 06:39 AM
A series of Ukrainian drone attacks targeted multiple military sites in Russia overnight on September 28-29, 2024. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 125 Ukrainian drones were intercepted over seven regions, including Volgograd, Voronezh, Rostov, and Belgorod. Significant damage was reported, with fires breaking out at the Kotluban ammunition depot in Volgograd and the Yeysk airbase. In Voronezh, debris from intercepted drones caused fires in residential areas. The attacks also targeted the Millerovo airfield in Rostov, where NASA's fire map indicated large-scale fires despite claims of all drones being intercepted. Additionally, Ukrainian forces reportedly struck a munitions depot near Stalingrad (Volgograd), causing further damage. The Volgograd region saw the interception of 67 drones, while 17 drones were intercepted over Voronezh.
