Visit65 Sickened in Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Recalled Wisconsin Eggs
Sep 7, 2024, 04:45 PM
A salmonella outbreak has sickened 65 people across nine states, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The outbreak has been traced to eggs labeled with 'Milo’s Poultry Farms' or 'Tony’s Fresh Market,' originating from a Wisconsin farm. The affected states include Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin, Utah, and Virginia. Wisconsin health officials have initiated a recall of the contaminated eggs, and the CDC advises consumers to either throw away the recalled eggs or return them to the store. There have been 24 hospitalizations reported, but no deaths as of September 6.
