3iQ Corp. Files for First Solana ETF in North America under Ticker $QSOL
Jun 20, 2024, 09:14 PM
Canadian investment fund manager 3iQ Corp. has filed a preliminary prospectus to launch the first Solana ETF in North America. The proposed ETF, named The Solana Fund and trading under the ticker $QSOL, aims to provide Canadian investors with an opportunity to invest in Solana (SOL). If approved, it will be listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange. This move follows Canada's history of pioneering digital asset ETFs, having previously introduced spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs before the United States. Coinbase Institutional will act as the custodian for the Solana ETF, leveraging its custody infrastructure to introduce Solana staking to the ETF space. Notably, the ETF includes staking.
