Poland has unveiled detailed plans for 'East Shield', a 10 billion zloty ($2.55 billion) program to fortify its eastern border with Russia and Belarus. The Polish defense ministry presented the program, which includes building fortifications, hubs, and telecommunication systems in coordination with NATO allies Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. NATO defense officials have described this initiative as the largest operation to strengthen Poland's eastern border and NATO's eastern flank since 1945.
