Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law ratifying an agreement with China to create an International Lunar Research Station (ILRS). The agreement, signed on Wednesday, signifies a major step in space cooperation between the two nations, aiming to establish a joint scientific station on the Moon. The location for the lunar base is expected to be agreed upon by 2025. Beijing has been actively advocating for global participation in joint space exploration efforts. The Kremlin stated that the agreement meets Russia’s interests.
