Two Indian nationals who had been recruited by the Russian Army have recently been killed in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, according to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). New Delhi has raised the matter with Moscow, calling for the early release and return of all Indian nationals currently with the Russian Army. Additionally, India has requested the return of the remains of the deceased and has urged its citizens to exercise caution when seeking employment opportunities in Russia. The MEA has also called for a verified stop to any further recruitment of Indian nationals by the Russian Army. This incident brings the total number of Indian nationals killed in the conflict to four. The Indian foreign ministry made the announcement on Tuesday.
