Allegations Against Former RG Kar Principal Sandip Ghosh and North Bengal Medical College Principal Dr. Saha
Sep 5, 2024, 09:51 AM
Allegations have emerged against Dr. Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata, for allegedly failing students and playing with their careers. In 2021, students protested against Ghosh, who reportedly identified some protestors and failed them. Additionally, Ghosh is accused of ordering renovations near the seminar hall a day after the rape and murder of a trainee doctor named Abhaya, raising suspicions of a cover-up. A letter dated August 10 confirmed the renovation order. Meanwhile, at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital in Siliguri, students, interns, junior doctors, and doctors have surrounded principal Dr. Indrajit Saha, accusing him of tampering with mark sheets and perpetuating a threat culture. Dr. Saha has stated that the mark sheets are prepared by the convenor of the exam.
