China has successfully completed the Tianshan Shengli Tunnel, which is now recognized as the world's longest expressway tunnel, measuring 22.13 kilometers. The tunneling was finalized on December 30, 2024, and this infrastructure project is expected to significantly reduce travel time across the Tianshan Mountains, decreasing the journey from three hours to just 20 minutes.
