Jun 27, 2024, 01:26 PM
A significant international roaming outage has affected customers of major US carriers, including Verizon, AT&T, and T-Mobile. The disruption, which began on Wednesday evening, has left many users traveling abroad unable to connect to the network, make calls, or use mobile data. The outage is linked to issues at Syniverse, an international connection partner, which estimates that full service restoration could take up to 24 hours. Verizon has issued a statement regarding the outage. The problem has caused inconvenience for travelers, including those at the Austin airport, where passengers are unable to use their cell networks and are advised to print or screenshot their boarding passes before arriving. Some users have reported being without service for almost 20 hours.
