The Communist Party of China (CPC) has reported a significant increase in its membership as of December 31, 2023. The total number of CPC members reached 99.185 million, marking an increase of 1.144 million from the end of 2022, which represents a growth rate of 1.2%. The CPC currently has 5.18 million grassroots organizations. The data was released ahead of the CPC's 103rd founding anniversary, highlighting the party's resilience and continued growth. Nearly 2.41 million people joined the CPC in 2023, with workers and farmers making up 33% of the total membership. The Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee provided these statistics on Sunday, noting the party's ability to attract young people and maintain its vitality.
