Apple Hits Record Highs with AI-Powered iPhone 15 Pro and ChatGPT Integration
Jun 21, 2024, 02:10 PM
Apple has unveiled its first AI-powered iPhone, integrating ChatGPT into the new phone. The AI features, branded as Apple Intelligence, will allow users to rewrite emails, summarize messages, and edit photos, among other tasks. These capabilities are limited to the iPhone 15 Pro, as well as iPads and Macs with Apple Silicon. The company explains that the inference of large language models requires significant computational power, which is not available in older or baseline models. This move marks a significant step in the domestication of generative AI, signaling Apple's intent to embed AI deeply into everyday life. The introduction of these features is also seen as a strategy to boost sales, which have been lagging. Apple recently hit record highs following the announcement.
