United Airlines to Launch Starlink Internet on Embraer E-175 Flights for MileagePlus Members in Spring 2025
Jan 5, 2025, 02:35 PM
United Airlines has announced plans to accelerate the deployment of SpaceX's Starlink satellite internet service on its flights, with testing set to begin in February and the first commercial flight on an Embraer E-175 aircraft scheduled for spring 2025. The airline aims to equip its entire two-cabin regional fleet with Starlink by the end of 2025, and the first mainline aircraft will receive the service before the year ends. Starlink will eventually be available across United's entire fleet of nearly 1,000 aircraft. The service will be free for members of United's MileagePlus frequent flyer program, offering capabilities for streaming, gaming, and videoconferencing.
