Oct 9, 2024, 06:24 AM
A Russian hypersonic missile struck the area of Ukraine's major Starokostiantyniv airbase, Kyiv said in a rare admission, after a drone and missile attack also targeted the capital. Ukraine says a Russian missile attack struck near a major Ukrainian military airfield on Monday, part of a broad campaign aimed at degrading Ukraine’s military infrastructure and wearing down its air defenses. A Russian Kh-47M2 Kinzhal hypersonic air-launched ballistic missile struck the Starokostiantyniv airbase on Monday morning. According to both Russian and Ukrainian sources, the strike targeted F-16 fighters and aircraft munitions.
