Austria's Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg has been appointed as the country's interim Chancellor following the resignation of Chancellor Karl Nehammer. Schallenberg, a member of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP), will lead the transitional government until a new coalition is formed.
