EFF Confirms Voluntary Resignations of MPs Ndlozi and Tetyana from National Assembly and Eastern Cape Legislature
Jan 9, 2025, 05:51 AM
The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) has confirmed the voluntary resignations of Dr. Mbuyiseni Ndlozi and Yazini Tetyana from their roles as Members of Parliament. Ndlozi, who has been a member of the National Assembly since 2014, and Tetyana, who served in the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature and subsequently in Parliament, submitted their resignations on Wednesday. The EFF announced on Thursday that it has accepted the requests of both individuals to be released from their parliamentary duties. The resignations come after months of speculation about Ndlozi's relationship with EFF leader Julius Malema, though the party emphasized that the resignations were voluntary.
