The suspect, armed with a gun, forced the driver to flee at gunpoint. During the ordeal, the suspect shot and killed a passenger. The bus driver managed to escape through a window, and it was initially unclear if there were other hostages on board. The standoff ended with a SWAT team intervention, using flashbangs to apprehend the suspect. The injured passenger was transported to a hospital but later succumbed to their injuries. The suspect is now in custody.
