Oct 8, 2024, 08:26 PM
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) recently seized 11 pounds of fentanyl valued at $1.7 million during traffic stops on I-5 in the Central Valley, including Fresno County. The operation also led to the discovery of 120,000 fentanyl-laced pills. The drugs were hidden inside packages of raw beef, including carne asada, and a cooler. Three out-of-state suspects were arrested in connection with the smuggling attempt. This seizure underscores California's commitment to keeping communities safe.
