U.S. Navy Launches Tomahawk Missiles from Red Sea on December 31, Targeting Houthi Facilities in Yemen

The U.S. Navy launched Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles (TLAMs) targeting Houthi weapon production and storage facilities in Yemen on December 31, as announced by U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM). The strikes were carried out by guided-missile destroyers USS Stout (DDG-55) and USS Jason Dunham (DDG-109) from the Harry S. Truman Carrier Strike Group, which were operating in the Red Sea at the time. Footage of the missile launches was released by CENTCOM. The targeted facilities included command and control centers, as well as weapon production and storage sites associated with the Iranian-backed Houthi group.
