Homeless Florida Man Arrested for NYSE Bomb Plot Aimed at 'Resetting' Government
Nov 21, 2024, 01:30 AM
The FBI has arrested a homeless Florida man, Harun Abdul-Malik Yener, on charges of plotting to bomb the New York Stock Exchange this week in an attempt to 'reboot' or 'reset' the U.S. government. Yener, 30, of Coral Springs, was arrested on Wednesday after an investigation that began in February when the FBI received a tip about bomb-making schematics. Undercover agents interacted with Yener, who allegedly expressed a desire to target the NYSE, stating he 'feels like Bin Laden' and wanted to 'hit' the exchange. He intended to detonate the bomb with a remote-controlled device. Yener has been charged with attempting to use an explosive device to damage or destroy a building used in interstate commerce.
