IDF Destroys Massive Hamas Tunnel, Kills Over 50 Terrorists in Gaza
Dec 8, 2024, 12:59 PM
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have conducted a series of operations in Gaza, targeting Hamas infrastructure. In northern Gaza's Jabalia, IDF combat engineers from the Gaza Division's engineering unit and the elite Yahalom unit demolished a Hamas tunnel spanning several hundred meters, uncovering booby-trapped shafts, explosives, and rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs). In Rafah, the Nahal Brigade uncovered a booby-trapped tunnel shaft designed to target IDF troops. Over the past few days, IDF and Shin Bet operations have led to the elimination of senior Hamas officers involved in the October 2024 Nahal Oz massacre, as well as the killing of over 50 Hamas terrorists attempting to escape from a Hamas headquarters in the northern Gaza Strip by the Givati Brigade. The IDF also dismantled an underground terrorist tunnel route, destroying dozens of booby-trapped shafts and numerous explosive devices, while eliminating terrorists who fired anti-tank missiles.
