Israeli Airstrikes Kill Hezbollah Commanders Ayyash and Daqduq in Damascus, Syria
Nov 10, 2024, 04:00 PM
Israeli airstrikes targeted the Sayyidah Zaynab area in the Syrian capital of Damascus, resulting in the deaths of at least six people and injuring more than 16 others. The strikes appear to have been aimed at high-profile Hezbollah operatives. Reports confirm that Salim Ayyash, a Hezbollah leader convicted in abstentia to five life sentences for his involvement in the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, was killed in the raid. Additionally, Ali Musa Daqduq, another Hezbollah commander responsible for attacks on U.S. troops in Iraq, wanted by the U.S. with a $10 million reward on his head, and in charge of the 'Golan file,' was also targeted in the airstrikes.
