Benjamin Cook Arrested in Tennessee for Shooting at Sledding Family in Harrison
Jan 13, 2025, 12:28 AM
A Tennessee man, Benjamin Cook, was arrested after allegedly shooting at a family of six who were sledding in the snow in Harrison, about 15 miles outside of Chattanooga. The incident occurred on Friday morning when the family, consisting of parents and their four children, was enjoying the snow on a hill in their neighborhood. Cook, who claimed the family was on his property, fired several shots from his home down the hill, with one bullet landing just a few feet from the family's one-year-old son. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene and arrested Cook on six counts of aggravated assault. An investigation confirmed that the family was not on Cook's property at the time of the shooting. Several rifles were found in Cook's home following a search warrant.
