Justice Clarence and Ginni Thomas Face Scrutiny Over Undisclosed Harlan Crow Jet Trips
Aug 5, 2024, 05:05 PM
Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is facing renewed scrutiny over undisclosed private jet trips provided by conservative donor Harlan Crow. Senator Ron Wyden, Chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, revealed that Thomas, along with his wife Ginni Thomas, failed to report a 2010 trip from Hawaii to New Zealand on Crow’s private jet. This trip, along with others, was not listed on Thomas's financial disclosure forms, which are required by law to include outside sources of income and gifts. Wyden's full letter to Republican megadonor Crow's attorney disclosed these trips and has prompted Wyden to refer the matter to the Department of Justice for further investigation.
