Edward Pettifer, Stepson of Royal Nanny, Among 14 Killed in New Orleans Attack; King and Prince William Mourn

Edward Pettifer, a 31-year-old British man from Chelsea, London, was identified as one of the 14 victims of a terror attack in New Orleans on New Year's Day. The attack, carried out by Shamsud-Din Jabbar, involved a pickup truck ramming into crowds on Bourbon Street, resulting in multiple casualties. Pettifer was the stepson of Tiggy Legge-Bourke, who served as the nanny to Prince William and Prince Harry in the 1990s. King Charles III expressed deep sadness upon learning of Pettifer's death, which was due to blunt force injuries, and has been in touch with the family to offer personal condolences. Prince William and his wife, Catherine, also shared their shock and sadness over Pettifer's death, extending their thoughts and prayers to the Pettifer family and all those affected by the attack. The Metropolitan Police are assisting the Pettifer family with the process of repatriating Edward's body to the UK.
