Fire Reported at Russian-Occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Plant
Aug 11, 2024, 06:46 PM
A fire has been reported at the Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant in southern Ukraine. Ukrainian sources, including President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, allege that Russian forces started the fire by setting car tires ablaze near one of the cooling towers. This act is believed to be a provocation aimed at causing panic in the region. Despite the incident, the nuclear plant is operating normally, and no changes in radiation levels have been detected.
