South Korea's Presidential Security Chief Questioned Over Obstructing Impeached President Yoon's Arrest Amid Martial Law Bid

Park Chong-jun, the head of South Korea's Presidential Security Service, appeared before police for questioning on charges of obstructing the execution of an arrest warrant for impeached President Yoon Suk Yeol. The warrant relates to Yoon's failed attempt to impose martial law on December 3. Park emphasized that any physical clashes or bloodshed between government agencies should be avoided during the arrest attempt. He also stated that the investigation should proceed in a manner befitting the status of a sitting president. Park complied with the police's third request for questioning after defying two previous requests. Amidst these developments, Park submitted his resignation to Acting President Choi Sang-mok, which was accepted.
