Bob Uecker, Hall of Fame Brewers Broadcaster and 'Mr. Baseball,' Dies at 90

Bob Uecker, the longtime voice of the Milwaukee Brewers and a member of the Baseball Hall of Fame, died on Thursday at the age of 90, the team confirmed. Affectionately known as 'Mr. Baseball,' Uecker's association with the Brewers spanned over five decades, beginning in 1971. Before his broadcasting career, he played as a light-hitting catcher in Major League Baseball, including stints with the St. Louis Cardinals and Philadelphia Phillies. In 2003, he was honored with the Ford C. Frick Award by the Hall of Fame for his broadcasting excellence. Uecker also gained national recognition for his comedic talents, starring in the 'Major League' films and the television series 'Mr. Belvedere,' and appearing on 'The Tonight Show' and in beer commercials.
