Internet Archive Faces Major DDoS Attack for Several Hours, Services Disrupted
May 27, 2024, 07:31 PM
The Internet Archive, a popular American nonprofit digital library founded in 1996 by Brewster Kahle, is currently experiencing a substantial Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack. The attack, which began earlier today and has lasted for several hours, has disrupted access to millions of documents and websites. Despite the ongoing efforts to mitigate the attack, most services remain unavailable. The Internet Archive team has assured users that no data has been affected. Pro-Iranian hackers have claimed responsibility for the attack, stating it is part of a coordinated large-scale cyber attack targeting Zionist entity’s media agencies and other American ones.
