VisitUS Regulators Probe 1.4M Honda, Acura Vehicles Over 3.5-Liter V6 Engine Failures
Nov 11, 2024, 06:51 PM
The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has initiated an investigation into potential engine failures affecting up to 1.4 million Honda and Acura vehicles. The probe covers models such as the 2016 through 2020 Honda Pilot, Odyssey, and Ridgeline, as well as the Acura MDX and TLX. The investigation was prompted by complaints about engine issues, specifically related to a manufacturing defect in the engine crankshaft, which could lead to complete engine failure due to connecting rod bearings failing on vehicles equipped with 3.5-liter V6 engines.
