President-elect Trump Meets Biden at White House, Says "Isn't It Nice to Win?"
Nov 13, 2024, 03:12 PM
President Joe Biden will host President-elect Donald Trump at the White House on Wednesday for an Oval Office meeting, reviving a tradition that Trump skipped in 2020 after losing the election to Biden. The meeting is part of the peaceful transfer of power following the 2024 election in which Trump defeated Biden. Trump is also scheduled to meet with Republican lawmakers on Capitol Hill and address House Republicans. During his meeting with House Republicans, Trump remarked, "Isn't it nice to win?" This visit marks Trump's first return to the White House since he left office nearly four years ago amidst a cloud of scandal. The two leaders are expected to discuss transition talks and demonstrate a smooth handover between administrations.
