Young Thug Accepts Plea Deal, Pleads Guilty in YSL RICO Case
Oct 31, 2024, 08:21 PM
Atlanta rapper Young Thug, whose legal name is Jeffery Williams, has accepted a non-negotiated plea deal, pleading guilty to charges including participating in criminal street gang activity and violating Georgia's RICO Act. The plea brings an unexpected conclusion to Georgia's longest-running criminal trial, which has been ongoing since January 2023. Several of Young Thug's co-defendants, including Quamarvious Nichols, Rodalius 'Lil Rod' Ryan, and Marquavius 'Quay' Huey, accepted plea deals earlier in the week. The state is recommending a sentence of 45 years, with 25 years to serve, pending a judge's approval.
