'Yoga to the People' Founder Gumucio Pleads Guilty to Tax Evasion in New York

Gumucio, the founder of the international yoga business 'Yoga to the People', pleaded guilty on Friday in a New York federal court to tax evasion charges. The Assistant United States Attorney stated, "They did not pay taxes." Gumucio admitted to not paying taxes on income from the chain's yoga studios, which promoted themselves as 'Yoga to the People'. The plea took place in the East Village, with sentencing scheduled for January 16, 2025.
