Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has dropped charges against 31 individuals arrested for their involvement in the takeover of Hamilton Hall at Columbia University. The charges were dropped due to a lack of evidence. The 31 individuals were either students or staff at Columbia. Initially, 46 individuals were charged with various crimes, mostly misdemeanor charges. The incident, which took place on April 30, involved pro-Palestinian demonstrators who occupied the campus building.
