India and China to Resume LAC Patrolling Ahead of BRICS Summit

India and China have reached an agreement to restart patrolling along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) ahead of the BRICS Summit, leading to disengagement and resolution of border issues in eastern Ladakh. Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri announced that diplomatic and military negotiators from both countries have been in close contact over the past several weeks, resulting in an agreement on patrolling arrangements along the LAC. The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) confirmed that both sides have agreed to disengage and resume patrolling, marking a significant step towards resolving the prolonged border tensions.
