Hesai Technology Sues U.S. Department of Defense Over 1260H List Military Allegations

Hesai Technology, a developer of sensor technologies used in self-driving cars, has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Defense. The China-based company is contesting its inclusion on the 1260H List, a list of firms accused of aiding China’s military. Hesai asserts that it only serves civilian and commercial markets and denies any alleged links to Beijing’s military. The lawsuit was filed on May 13, 2024.
