Hunter Biden Sought U.S. Help for Burisma Project in Italy in 2016 While Joe Biden Was VP
Aug 14, 2024, 01:13 AM
Newly released records indicate that Hunter Biden sought assistance from the U.S. government for a potentially lucrative energy project in Italy while his father, Joe Biden, was serving as Vice President. The records, which had been withheld for years, show that Hunter Biden solicited aid from the U.S. Embassy in Italy for the Ukrainian energy company Burisma, where he was a board member. In 2016, Hunter Biden wrote at least one letter to the U.S. ambassador to Italy seeking assistance. The timing of the release has been suggested as coincidental by the Department. A White House spokesman stated that President Biden was not aware of his son's actions at the time.
