May 28, 2024, 04:55 PM
Oil companies operating in Iraq’s Kurdish region, including those represented by the industry group Apikur, have expressed their willingness to negotiate contract terms to restart oil exports that have been stalled for more than a year. The Iraqi Oil Ministry has called for a meeting on Tuesday with the Kurdistan region’s Ministry of Natural Resources and international companies operating there in Baghdad to expedite the resumption of oil exports through Turkey's port of Ceyhan. The meeting is aimed at reaching an agreement to restart production and resume exports as soon as possible.
