Leila de Lima Acquitted of Final Drug Charge by Branch 206
Jun 24, 2024, 05:51 AM
Former Philippine senator Leila de Lima has been acquitted of her third and final drug charge by the Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court Branch 206. This decision clears her of all charges filed against her during the administration of her nemesis, former president Rodrigo Duterte. Earlier in the day, a minor disobedience case against de Lima, filed by the House for allegedly ignoring summons, was also dismissed. The court's ruling today marks the end of all legal battles related to the drug charges against de Lima, allowing her to walk free.
