53-Year-Old Woman and 70-Year-Old Man Shot Near Livonia Park in Brownsville, Brooklyn

A violent incident occurred in Brownsville, Brooklyn, on the night of June 15, 2024. At approximately 10:30 p.m., a 53-year-old woman and a 70-year-old man were shot near Livonia Park, close to a large public housing complex at Junius St and Livonia Ave. The woman was struck once in the right leg and twice in the torso, while the man sustained a gunshot wound to his left leg. Both victims were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The NYPD is currently questioning five individuals in connection with the shooting.
